They will be objects of hatred from all nations because of my name (Matt. 24: 9).
When we are persecuted, let us pour out our hearts “just like water” and tell our loving Father our fears and concerns (Lam. 2:19). The more we pray in this way to Jehovah, the closer we will be to him. --Rom. 8:38, 39). Let us be convinced that the blessings of the Kingdom of God will come true (Num. 23:19).
If our faith in these promises is weak, it will be easier for Satan and his supporters to instill fear in us (Prov. 24:10; Heb. 2:15). Let's take time to study Jehovah's Kingdom promises and the reasons why we can be sure they will be fulfilled. To understand how important this is, let's look at the example of Stanley Jones, who was in prison for seven years for his beliefs. He said what helped him stay faithful: “The knowledge I had about the Kingdom, of which I was sure and of which I did not doubt for a moment, gave me strength. They couldn't defeat me ”. If our faith in God's promises is strong, fear will not overcome us (Prov. 3:25, 26). w19.07 2 par. 1; 3 paras. 6, 7
Why do we have to prepare for the persecution?
The night before he died, the Lord Jesus said that the world would hate everyone who chose to be his disciples (John 17:14). Since then, those who oppose worship
true have persecuted faithful Christians (2 Tim. 3:12). And we expect the opposition to intensify as we approach the end of this world (Matt. 24: 9).

How do we prepare now for the persecution? We don't have to imagine everything that might happen to us. If we do, these thoughts could lead us to stop serving Jehovah even before going through a real test, as fear and anxiety could overcome us. --Prov. 12:25; 17:22. Fear is a powerful weapon used against us by our "adversary, the Devil" (1 Pet. 5: 8, 9). So what should we do now to get stronger? In this article, we will see how to make our friendship with Jehovah stronger and why it is so important to do so now. We will also analyze what to do to have more courage and how to act when we are victims of people's hatred.
