DAIL TEXT, Today's Wednesday June 9, 2021

Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2021

Wednesday June 9, 2021

God is not unfair to forget your work and the love you showed for his name (Heb. 6:10).

Thousands of Bethelites and other full-time servants have received new assignments. These faithful brothers may find it difficult to leave a job they were very fond of.

If we are one of them, what can we do?

Stay close to Jehovah by reading the Bible every day and meditating on it. In addition, let us continue to participate to the fullest in the preaching with the

new congregation. Jehovah does not forget those who serve him faithfully, even if they cannot do as much as before. Let's lead a simple life.

Let us not allow the cares of Satan's world to drown out spiritual activities (Matt. 13:22). Let us not listen to friends, relatives, or others who advise us with good intentions to seek financial security in this world (1 John 2: 15-17). Let us trust in Jehovah, who promises to give us “at the proper time” everything we need spiritually, emotionally, and materially. —Heb. 4:16; 13: 5, 6. w19.08 20 par. 4; 21, 22 paras. 7, 8

What will help us make new friends?

Have a good relationship with friends and family. Let's talk about what we feel and what happens to us with our friends, especially with those who have gone through similar situations.

That will make us feel better (Eccl. 4: 9, 10). Although we retain the friends we had in our previous assignment, we need to make new friends. To do this, we must make friends with others. Let us tell them about the blessings that Jehovah has given us so that they will see how happy we are to serve him. While some brethren may not understand the enthusiasm we have for full-time service, others may be drawn to our example and become our friends. But let us be careful not to direct too much attention to what

that we have done and not focus on negative feelings.

How can we continue to be happy in our marriage?

If the reason we left our assignment was our spouse's illness, let's not blame him. And if we were the ones who were in poor health, let's not feel guilty or think that we have failed our spouse. Let us remember that we are “one flesh” and that we promised Jehovah to care for one another in all circumstances. --Matt. 19: 5, 6.

On the other hand, if the reason was an unexpected pregnancy, let us assure our son that he is more important to us than that assignment. Let us often tell him that we consider it a gift from Jehovah (Ps. 127: 3-5). Also, let's talk to him about the wonderful times we had, as that can motivate him to dedicate his life to full-time service, as we did.
