Some people are eager to learn the truths of the Bible. On the other hand, others seem indifferent at first, and we may have to pique their interest. To be successful in preaching, we need to know well what we are going to say. Let's pick topics that are likely to catch people's attention and think about how to present them. For example, we could say: “I would like to know your opinion on the following topic. Today we are faced with many problems everywhere. Do you think a world government is needed to solve them? Later, we could read and comment on Daniel 2:44. Or perhaps we could say, “I would like to ask you a question. What do you think is the key to having well-educated children? So we could look at Deuteronomy 6: 6, 7. Whatever topic we choose, let's think about the people we are going to talk to. Imagine how they will benefit from learning what the Bible really teaches. When we speak with them, it is important that we listen to them and respect their opinion. In this way, we will understand them better and they will be more likely to listen to us.
Why shouldn't we get tired of making return visits?
Before a person decides to study the Bible, we may have to take the time and effort to revisit it several times. Why? First of all, because he may not be at home when we return or he may not be able to attend us. Also, it may take several visits for you to feel comfortable with us and accept the Bible course. Remember that a plant is more likely to grow if we water it often. In the same way, a person's love for Jehovah and Christ is more likely to grow if we speak with them frequently about God's Word.
