A good number of those who had practiced magical arts gathered their books and burned them in front of everyone (Acts 19:19).

These people took the fight against evil spirits very seriously. Although those magic books were very expensive, they destroyed them instead of giving them away or selling them. They were much more concerned with pleasing Jehovah than with the value of books. How can we copy your example? If we have any objects related to the occult, such as amulets, talismans or other things that are used to protect ourselves from dangers and evil spirits, it is advisable that we get rid of them (1 Cor. 10:21). Let's take a careful look at our entertainment. Let us ask ourselves: "Does my entertainment have anything to do with the occult?" Let's make sure that our decisions keep us far from everything that God hates. We want to do our best to keep a clear conscience before Jehovah. ”- Acts 24:16. w19.04 22-23 pars. 10-12

13. What do we not want to do?

Let's not tell stories of demons. In this regard, we must follow the example of Jesus (1 Pet. 2:21). While living in heaven, he learned many things about Satan and demons. However, when he came to Earth, he did not go around telling stories about them. He wanted to bear witness to Jehovah, not advertise to Satan. Like Jesus, we are not talking about demons. Instead, we show by our words that our hearts are overflowing with enthusiasm "because of a pleasant matter," that is, the truth (Ps. 45: 1).

Let's not panic evil spirits. Bad things can happen to everyone in this world. When we least expect it, we can have an accident, get sick or even die. But are we to think that demons are responsible? The Bible explains that a bad time or “unforeseen event” can come to all of us (Eccl. 9:11). On the other hand, Jehovah has proven to be much more powerful than demons. For example, he did not allow Satan to kill Job (Job 2: 6). And, in the time of Moses, he proved that his power was superior to that of the magic-practicing priests of Egypt (Ex. 8:18; 9:11). Much later, Jesus received power from Jehovah and cast Satan and demons from heaven to earth. And in a little while he will cast them into the abyss, where they will not be able to harm anyone (Rev. 12: 9; 20: 2, 3).

We have much evidence that Jehovah protects his people today. Consider this: We are preaching and teaching the truth throughout the earth (Matt. 28:19, 20). As a result, we expose the evil works of the Devil. If he could, it is clear that he would stop our work. But he can not. So we must not be afraid of evil spirits. We know that Jehovah's eyes “are roaming through all the earth to show his strength on behalf of those whose heart is complete toward him” (2 Chron. 16: 9). If we are faithful to God, demons will not be able to do us any permanent harm.
