Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2021

Christ suffered for you, leaving you a model for you to follow in his footsteps with great care and attention (1 Pet. 2:21).

Let's not tell stories of demons. In this regard, we must follow the example of Jesus. While living in heaven, he learned many things about Satan and demons. However, when he came to Earth, he did not go around telling stories about them. He wanted to bear witness to Jehovah, not advertise to Satan. Like Jesus, we are not talking about demons. Instead, we show by our words that our hearts are overflowing with enthusiasm "because of a pleasant matter," that is, the truth (Ps. 45: 1). Let's not panic evil spirits. Bad things can happen to everyone in this world. When we least expect it, we can have an accident, get sick or even die. But are we to think that demons are responsible? The Bible explains that a bad time or “unforeseen event” can come to all of us (Eccl. 9:11). On the other hand, Jehovah has proven to be much more powerful than demons. w19.04 23, 24 pars. 13, 14

Tell a case that shows the courage it takes to fight evil spirits.

It takes courage to fight evil spirits, especially when unintentional friends or family pressure us to participate in certain customs. But Jehovah blesses the mighty. Let's see what happened to a sister named Erica, who lives in Ghana. He was 21 years old when he started a Bible course. As the daughter of a sorcerer, everyone expected her to follow a spiritistic rite that included eating meat sacrificed to her father's gods. When she refused, her relatives considered it an insult to the gods. They believed that these would punish them with physical and mental illness.

They tried to force her to follow that custom, but she did not give her arm to twist, even though it meant having to leave her home. Several Witnesses opened the doors of their homes to him. In this way, Jehovah blessed her with a new family of godbrothers. --Mark 10:29, 30. Although her relatives disowned her and even burned her things, she remained loyal, got baptized, and is now a regular pioneer. He is not terrified of demons. And he says about his relatives: "I ask our loving God every day that they feel the happiness of knowing him and enjoy the freedom that serving him gives."

What blessings will we receive if we trust in Jehovah?

Not all of us will have to face such a difficult test of faith. But we all have to fight evil spirits and trust in Jehovah. If we do, we will receive many blessings. For example, we will not be victims of Satan's lies. Also, we will never stop serving God out of fear of demons. Above all else, we will strengthen our friendship with Jehovah. The disciple James wrote: “Submit yourselves, therefore, to God; but oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you. Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you ”(James 4: 7, 8).
