It may be that due to human imperfections some problems will sometimes arise with each other, but the bible should be your guide so that matters are always resolved promptly and mildly.
Joshua 18: 2,3. Although the reason why seven tribes did not have the urgency to occupy the rest of the conquered territory is not known, these texts mention that Joshua "rebuked them" for their delay in occupying the rest of the land. This teaches me: that in the art of being "good parents" you need to reprimand or correct your children when they have not finished a task or assignment at home. This rebuke must always be "to the proper degree." This is part of the training that children need to develop and become responsible men and women who fulfill their assignments without delay.
Joshua 18:15, 16. The promised land was a fascinating place where "diversity existed": springs, mountains, valleys, slopes. The Israelites surely enjoyed the wonderful views this land offered. This teaches me: that, although today there are beautiful places around the world, where you can see the hand of our creator, in the new world it will shine even more. All humans will enjoy the diversity of flora, fauna and a balanced and pleasant climate, "all to the eternal praise of our Loving Creator Jehovah."
Joshua 19: 27,31. The city with the name "Beth-dragon" (possibly in honor of the dragon god) was given to Asher. Everything indicates that the cult of this deity was already well established in Canaan when Israel conquered the Promised Land. This teaches me: the fraud of Satan, who has always used religion to promote the worship of false gods and thus alienate people from the true God, Jehovah. Therefore, we must warn them that any worship that is mixed with any form of idolatry is unacceptable and offensive to Jehovah. Thus we show ourselves to be faithful defenders of pure worship.
Joshua 19:17, 22. The Issachar boundary included "Tabor." The mention of this mountain brings to mind many biblical stories, such as the wars between the Canaanites and Israel. But, also this mountain is known for its majesty and impressive elevation that indicate the magnificence of Jehovah. This teaches me: that no human should remain insensitive to the beauty, majesty and magnificence of our creator. When we consider his creative works, we conclude that "He is worthy of glory, honor, and power." How fair, then, that our worship be for him alone!
Joshua 19:49, 50. After actively participating in the conquest of Canaan and dividing the land among the Israelites, Joshua was finally able to enjoy the reward that Jehovah had promised him. His faith was surely strengthened as he saw for himself "how good God is." This teaches me: that in the same way, our faith must grow as we actively participate in our service to Jehovah. When we see the benefits of applying his laws, we convince ourselves of "how good he is." So we can imitate Joshua so that we can enjoy the reward that Jehovah has promised us.
Joshua 18: 1. Once they had taken possession of the promised land, the first thing they decided to place in a silo there was the tent of meeting or the tabernacle and all the utensils necessary to perform the sacred service that Jehovah had erected for the people in connection with their worship. It was the first and only time that the meeting tent was in this place. This teaches me: that we can observe in this action a good example for us of putting the Kingdom of God first in all our theocratic or personal activities. Joshua 19: 1. Simeon along with his brother Levi lost privileges that they would have obtained by not controlling their anger. When they learned of the rape of their sister Dina, without the knowledge or authorization of their father they avenged the honor of their sister. Jacob's final words to them demonstrated his disapproval and consequences for their wrongdoing. This teaches me: this example is a clear demonstration that we must know how to control our character so that it does not affect others or ourselves. We must weigh the consequences of our actions even more if they are outside the biblical laws and principles established by Jehovah.
Joshua 19:47. The Dan tribe was second in population size and having men of war age. And they managed to use their strength to cleanse the land of the Canaanites so that they could inhabit it.
