They will gather their chosen ones (Matt. 24:31).
In recent years, the number of those who partake of bread and wine at the Memorial has continued to increase. Should we be concerned about this? No. "Jehovah knows those who belong to him" (2 Tim. 2:19). Jehovah knows who are truly anointed, but the brethren who during the Memorial count those who eat the bread and drink the wine do not know. Therefore, the total number includes those who believe that they are anointed but in reality they are not. Some who used to participate no longer do so. And others believe that they will rule with Christ in heaven due to emotional or mental problems. So we don't know exactly how many anointed ones are left on Earth. There will be anointed in many parts of the earth when Jesus comes to take them to heaven. It is true that the Bible implies that in the last days there will still be a small number of anointed ones on earth (Rev. 12:17). But it doesn't say how many will be left when the great tribulation begins. w20.01 29-30 pars. 11-13
What serious warning in 1 Corinthians 11: 27-29 should anointed ones heed, and why?
In 1 Corinthians 11: 27-29 there is a serious warning for the anointed (read it). How could an anointed one participate “undeservedly” in the Memorial? If he ate the bread and drank the wine but his life did not measure up to Jehovah's righteous standards (Heb. 6: 4-6; 10: 26-29). The anointed know that they must remain faithful if they want to receive “the reward of God's heavenly call through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3: 13-16).
How should anointed Christians view themselves?
Jehovah's holy spirit makes people humbler, not prouder (Eph. 4: 1-3; Col. 3:10, 12). That is why the anointed do not think they are better than others. They know that Jehovah does not necessarily give them more holy spirit than his other servants. Nor do they think they know biblical truths better than other people. And they would never say to someone, "You too are anointed and should partake of the bread and wine at the Memorial." Rather, they are humble and recognize that only Jehovah can invite someone to go to heaven.
According to 1 Corinthians 4: 7, 8, How are the anointed to conduct themselves?
Although the anointed know that it is an honor to be invited to go to heaven, they do not expect others to treat them in a special way (Philippians 2: 2, 3). They also know that when Jehovah anointed them, he didn't let the whole world know about it. So an anointed Christian is not surprised if other people at first have a hard time believing that God has chosen him. After all, the Bible teaches that we should not immediately believe anyone who claims to have received a special responsibility from God (Rev. 2: 2). Also, because they do not want to draw attention to themselves, anointed ones do not say that they are when they first meet someone. And, of course, they never claim to be anointed (read 1 Corinthians 4: 7, 8).
What don't the anointed do, and why?
The anointed do not relate solely to other anointed ones, as if they were members of an exclusive club. They also do not try to communicate with other anointed ones to discuss their heavenly call or to form private Bible study groups (Gal. 1: 15-17). If they did that, they would not help to unite the congregation. In fact, they would go against the holy spirit, for it fosters peace and unity among God's people (Rom. 16:17, 18).
