Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

They must be quick to listen, but slow to speak (James 1:19).
We need patience because it will take time for a person who has lost his friendship with Jehovah to regain it. Many Christians who were inactive acknowledge that the elders and other brothers in the congregation had to visit them many times before they returned to Jehovah. A sister named Nancy from Southeast Asia writes: “A good friend from the congregation helped me a lot. He loved me like I was his older sister. It reminded me of the good times we had together. When I spoke to him about my feelings, he listened patiently and did not hesitate to advise me. She was a true friend and she was always there to help me ”. Empathy is like an ointment that helps us heal hurt feelings. Some inactive people walked away because they were offended by someone in the congregation, and they have been resentful for years. That is why they do not want to return to Jehovah. Others may think they suffered an injustice. They may need someone to listen to them and understand how they feel. w20.06 26 pars. 10, 11
How do we know that we have the help of angels?
There are many experiences that indicate that angels help us find the inactive who are willing to return to Jehovah (Rev. 14: 6). For example, Silvio, who is from Ecuador, begged Jehovah to help him return to the congregation. While he was still praying, his doorbell rang. They were two old men. On that same visit, they gladly began to give him the help he needed.
What reward do we receive when we help those who are spiritually weak?
Helping those who are spiritually weak to return to Jehovah will make us very happy. Look at what Salvador, a pioneer who works hard to help the inactive, says: “Sometimes I find it difficult to hold back the tears of joy. I am delighted to think that Jehovah has rescued one of his beloved sheep from Satan's world and that I have been honored to cooperate with him ”(Acts 20:35).
If you are inactive, what can you be sure of?
If you have stopped associating with Jehovah's people, you can be sure that God still loves you and wants you to return. Sure, for that you will have to take some steps. But remember the father of Jesus' parable. Jehovah is waiting for you to return to his family, and he will welcome you with open arms.
