PUBLISHER: Hello (), how have you been?
STUDENT: Hello (), all good, and you?
PUBLISHER: Well, everything is fine too, as you must be imagining this week we have to analyze lesson 4, but this time we will do it from the book “Enjoy life”, can you please bring it?
STUDENT: Sure, no problem.
PUBLISHER: Well let's see the title of the lesson is Who is God? Have you ever asked yourself that question?
STUDENT: Yes, since I was a child.
PUBLISHER: That's fine, and I think we've all asked ourselves that question, even once in our lives and now we'll see what the Bible says about this, what do you think if we see what the first paragraph we have here says.
STUDENT: No problem, he says…
PUBLISHER: Thanks, as you mention here, what has always happened since the beginning of humanity?
STUDENT: Well, people have worshiped many gods.
PUBLISHER: Exactly, in any ancient culture we will always see that they worshiped different gods, that they were polytheistic, but in the Bible we are told of someone superior to those gods, who is he? And what makes him superior to all the other gods that people worship? That is what we will see in this lesson, so first we will see What is the name of God, and how do we know that he wants us to know his name? read that paragraph please.
STUDENT: Sure, you say…
PUBLISHER: Thanks, how is God presented in the Bible?
STUDENT: He introduces himself saying “I am Jehovah. That is my name".
PUBLISHER: Exactly, just as a person says his name when he introduces himself, God does the same thing, and as you can see and I have explained it to you in the first times that we spoke that the name of God is Jehovah, now, what does his name mean?
STUDENT: It means “he causes to come to be” and surely that is what Jehovah wants us to know his name for.
PUBLISHER: Exactly, we can even see it in Isaiah 42:8, read it please.
STUDENT: Sure, you say…
PUBLISHER: So we see that God recognizes that Jehovah is his name and he wants to make sure that his name is known by all, why can we say this?
STUDENT: Well, he has seen to it that his name appears in the Bible more than 7,000 times, that way people will undoubtedly know his name.
PUBLISHER: Exactly, so we can see that God wants his name to be recognized and that is why it is in the Bible, now, what does the Bible tell us about Jehovah? Read the next paragraph.
STUDENT: Sure, you say…
PUBLISHER: Thank you, you and I recognize that only Jehovah God deserves to be worshipped. Is there a text that supports this idea? And please read it.
STUDENT: Sure, a text that supports this is Psalm 83:18 which says…
PUBLISHER: Exactly, this text recognizes that Jehovah is the highest authority, apart from this, by what title is Jehovah also known?
STUDENT: Well, he is “the Almighty”, and that means that he has the power to do whatever he wants and apart from that he is the creator of all things.
PUBLISHER: That's right, so we see that the Bible contains these interesting details about God, can you mention another one?
STUDENT: Yes, the Bible says that Jehovah is the only one who has always existed and always will exist.
PUBLISHER: Correct, so with these two paragraphs we have already known a part of Jehovah's personality, now let's move on to the section "Let's Delve into the Topic" to continue knowing God, do you think it's okay?
STUDENT: Sure, that's fine with me.
