APLPLY YOUR SELFTO THE FIELD MINISTRY: April 4-10, 2022. Revisit lesson. 12, assignment prepared.

Return Visit (5 mins): At the conclusion of the Memorial address, speak with someone you have invited and answer a question you have about the program (th lec. 12).

PUBLISHER: Good evening José, it's good that you were present on this special occasion.

HOUSEHOLDER: Hi Felipe, obviously I wasn't going to miss this event, since you gave me the invitation I was wondering how it would be, but I liked it a lot.

PUBLISHER: Good, José, this will always be a special occasion to remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us.

HOUSEHOLDER: That's right, but I have a question.

PUBLISHER: Tell me, what is it about?

HOUSEHOLDER: Well, when I saw that they were passing out the bread and wine, it reminded me a bit of what I used to see in churches, but they do it every time there is mass and then, why do you celebrate it every year?

PUBLISHER: Well, as you saw in the speech the same text was read that is in the invitation, the one from Luke 22:19, read it as it appears in the invitation.

HOUSEHOLDER: Sure, he says, "Keep doing this in memory of me."

PUBLISHER: Thank you, here we see that Jesus commanded his disciples to celebrate the Lord's Supper, but he did not specify the frequency, however, we have other data from the Bible that help us understand that this was due every year.

HOUSEHOLDER: Seriously, where?

PUBLISHER: Well, on the same day that Jesus instituted that celebration, the Jews celebrated Passover, a celebration that they did once a year.

HOUSEHOLDER: I understand, so the commemoration replaced Easter.

PUBLISHER: Exactly, in fact, look at what the Bible says here in 1 Corinthians 5:7, 8, please read it.

HOUSEHOLDER: Sure, he says...

PUBLISHER: Thanks, did you notice what relationship is established here?

HOUSEHOLDER: Jesus is the Passover lamb?

PUBLISHER: That's right or in other words the sacrifice of Jesus is compared to that of the Passover lamb, so if this party was celebrated every year, how would the commemoration be celebrated?

HOUSEHOLDER: Likewise every year.

PUBLISHER: Right, that's something that Christians did in ancient times and now Jehovah's Witnesses do the same thing.

HOUSEHOLDER: Well now I understand well.

PUBLISHER: Good, I hope that has clarified your doubt.

HOUSEHOLDER: Sure, now I see that you have a logical reason to hold that meeting once a year.

PUBLISHER: Excellent, now what do you think if I introduce you to other brothers so that you can start getting to know them, is that okay with you?

HOUSEHOLDER: Sure, that's fine with me.
