Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

I call you friends, because I have told you all the things I have heard my Father say (John 15:15).
Spirit-anointed Christians hope to be with Jesus forever and rule with him in the Kingdom of God. They will see him, talk to him, and spend time with him (John 14:2, 3). Those who hope to live on Earth will also enjoy the care and attention of Jesus. Although they will not see him, their friendship with him will grow stronger and stronger as they enjoy the life that Jehovah and Jesus have made possible for them.—Isa. 9:6, 7. When we accept Jesus' invitation to be his friends, we receive many blessings. For example, we have his love and support now. Also, we have the opportunity to live forever. And, above all, our friendship with Jesus will give us the most valuable friendship of all: that of his Father, Jehovah. What an honor it is to be friends with Jesus. w20.04 25 paras. 15, 16
What must we do to benefit from Jesus' rescue?
Only those who are good friends of Jesus will fully benefit from the ransom. How do we know? Jesus said that he would give “his life for his friends” (John 15:13). God's faithful servants who lived before Jesus came to earth will have to learn from him and come to love him. Righteous men and women like Abraham, Sarah, Moses or Rahab will live again, but even they will have to become friends with Jesus to receive eternal life (John 17:3; Acts 24:15; Heb. 11:8-12, 24-26, 31).
As John 15:4, 5 shows, what can we do because of our friendship with Jesus, and why should we stay in union with him?
We have the joy of collaborating with Jesus in preaching and teaching the good news of the Kingdom. When he was on Earth, he taught the truth about God. And since he returned to heaven, as Head of the congregation, he has continued to direct this work. See and appreciate the efforts we make to help as many as we can to know him and his Father. In fact, we can only carry out this work with the help of Jehovah and Jesus (read John 15:4, 5).
The Bible clearly teaches us that we must love Jesus if we want to please Jehovah. So let's look at four steps necessary to be friends with Jesus.
