Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

See, the fields are white, ripe for harvest (John 4:35).
Do we think that the people to whom we preach are like the grain that is ready for harvest? In that case, three things will happen. First, we will preach with a greater sense of urgency. As the harvest season is of limited duration, there is no time to lose. Second, we will be happy to participate wholeheartedly in this work. The Bible says, “The people rejoice at harvest time” (Isa. 9:3). And, third, we will see each person as a future disciple, so we will adapt our presentation to the topic that interests you. Jesus did not think the Samaritans were hopeless, as his followers might have thought. Rather, he saw them as future disciples. This is how we should see the people of our territory. The apostle Paul set an excellent example for us in this regard.
According to Acts 14:14-17, how did Paul preach attractively to the inhabitants of Lystra?
(Read Acts 14:14-17). Paul noticed what interested his listeners and tailored his presentation. For example, the crowd to whom he preached at Lystra knew little or nothing of the Scriptures. So Paul talked about things that were familiar to them, like bountiful harvests and joy of life. He used words and examples that were easy to understand.
What can we do to find out what a person is interested in and tailor our presentation?
Let's try to find out what interests people in our territory and adapt our presentation. How can we find out what interests a person when we approach him or his house? Again, let's be observant. Perhaps you are gardening, reading a book, repairing a car, or doing something else. If we see it appropriate, we can start the conversation by talking about what he is doing (John 4:7). Even a person's clothes can tell us something about him: his nationality, what he does for a living, or his favorite sports team. A brother named Gustavo says: “I started a conversation with a 19-year-old who had a picture of a famous singer on his shirt. I asked him something about his shirt, and he told me why he liked that singer. That conversation resulted in a Bible course,
How can we offer a Bible course in an attractive way?
When we offer someone a Bible course, let's make it attractive. Let's explain how he will benefit you personally (John 4:13-15). For example, a woman who showed interest brought a sister named Hester into her home. When the sister saw a diploma on the wall indicating that the woman was a professor of Pedagogy, she pointed out that we also teach through Bible courses and our meetings. The woman agreed to study the Bible, she went to a meeting the next day, and soon after she attended a circuit assembly. Within a year, she was baptized. Let's ask ourselves: “What are the people I revisit interested in? Can I explain to you in an engaging way what our Bible study program is all about?”
