Similarly, when faced with difficult problems, Jehovah expects us to use our mental powers and abilities to deal with difficult situations in life. He has provided us with his inspired Word, which gives us sagacity, knowledge, and thinking ability (Proverbs 1:4). We also enlist the help of appointed Christian elders.

Although David had struck down Goliath on this particular occasion we see that he was prudent, he did not challenge the king, rather, he was prudent and versatile since he acted pretending to be crazy, and it worked, so physical force is not the only way to face our enemies.
David used his reasoning to be able to face an adverse situation, likewise, Jehovah expects us to use our mental faculties and abilities to face difficult situations in life, apart from that, we have his inspired Word and the help of Christian elders named.
We can say that David used his ability to think well and showed sagacity, which teaches us what Jehovah expects of us and that is that we must use our mental faculties and attitudes to face any unexpected and difficult situation that comes our way, Furthermore, for this very reason, Jehovah has given us his word so that we may be shrewd.
Although David had seen Jehovah's hand many times in helping him out of difficult situations, he did not wait for his great God to intervene and resolve a matter of great urgency. He immediately used the mental faculties that Jehovah gave him to act appropriately to get out of this situation.
In the same way, Jehovah expects us to use our mental faculties and attitudes to get out of difficult situations. He has provided us with his inspired word to review biblical examples and gain insights on how to deal with these situations. His Word gives us sagacity, knowledge and ability to think. We also have the help of elders in the congregations to make appropriate decisions.

1 Samuel 20:1. David had not committed any sin or crime, even so he was persecuted out of envy, and nobody did anything to defend him, sometimes we experience injustice, we are persecuted and hurt without having committed any fault, sin or crime, we learn from David that we must be very careful who we trust and if we have found someone like Jonathan we must value him, of course, this does not refer to consenting to someone's serious or hidden sins.
1 Samuel 20:1-3. David and Jonathan had a conversation after David had to flee from Saul, we can see that David was confused by everything that had happened and wanted answers and instead, Jonathan was there to listen, advise and support him in this situation, no doubt that is the reflection of a true friendship that we can enjoy as servants of God.
1 Samuel 20:25,34. We can note the excellent example of loyalty, since, from a strictly human point of view, Jonathan had much to lose and little to gain by being David's friend, but for Jonathan, that was the least of it, since his loyalty came first. to Jehovah, this teaches us that even above family ties, our fidelity to Jehovah will always come first.
1 Samuel 20:30. A friend may need protection from danger or he may need material help, but more often he may need encouragement and companionship. If our love is deep we will make sacrifices to meet that need. Therefore, we can meditate on, How deep is the love we have for our spouse, our children, our parents, our close friends, our fellow Christian? To the degree that our love is deep and loyal, we will be loyal, covering mistakes and imperfections, helping to improve, giving or accepting correction, and making sacrifices to express that love.
1 Samuel 20:30. Saul's anger toward David was building to the point that his words to Jonathan no doubt made him feel hurt. Additionally, he also tried to spear Jonathan seeing that he was supporting David. Saúl almost commits two murders because of his jealousy and fury. The word of God uproots the cause of so much damage. Through even a casual glance at the newspapers, we see that human anger is readily associated with the desire to harm others or to inflict pain on them. Since there is usually a loss of self-control at the same time, what monstrous violence can result from a bad temper!
1 Samuel 20:32.34. Jonathan was prudent, he tried to respectfully reason with his father, but he was unreasonable, so Jonathan left, this gives us a good example, as children we must respect our parents, take care of the words or expressions we use to treat them, even the tone , we must understand that as they get older their way of thinking and behaving will change, now it will be our turn to understand and support them, in the world it is very common for children to yell at their parents, others attack them, some completely forget about them, we as Jehovah's Witnesses must make a difference.
1 Samuel 20:32-34. Here we can see that Saul was no longer that humble servant who was appointed to be the king of the nation of Israel, by responding violently to his son's question by throwing a spear at him, it is clear that that evil spirit was operating in Saul and could also be a reflection of the attitude of those people who share the spirit of this evil world.
1 Samuel 20:33. We see how far Saul was able to go, there was nothing left of that young man whom Jehovah chose to be king, since even out of anger he was about to kill his own son, so we learn that instead of going back in a spiritual sense we must move forward every day, we must strengthen our spirituality more and more.
1 Samuel 20:41,42. It tells us that the friendship between Jonatan and David was very strong, they were there to support each other in difficult times, and I think we would all like to find friends like that, and the truth is that we can find true friends only among those who love each other. Jehovah.
1 Samuel 21:3-6. It is narrated that David and his men stopped hungry at the tabernacle and ate the loaves of presentation that had been replaced. These were normally intended for the consumption of the priests, but under the circumstances David and his men were not condemned for eating them, notably this is the only instance mentioned in the Bible where non-priests ate such breads.
1 Samuel 21:6. Here we see an example of what it means to be reasonable, instead of being too severe, it is such a practical example that our Lord Jesus Christ used it to make the Pharisees see how severe they were in their way of interpreting and understanding the scriptures, Jesus tells them that when David and his companions were hungry, they stopped at the tabernacle to eat the loaves of presentation. Although these loaves had already been removed from before Jehovah and had been replaced with fresh loaves, they were usually reserved for the priests to eat. However, due to the circumstances, David and his companions were not condemned for eating them.
1 Samuel 21:7. Doeg witnessed the high priest Ahimelech give David the showbread and Goliath's sword, then he gossiped with Saul and in the end he was responsible for many innocent deaths, although he knew and went to the tabernacle to perform a vote this did not mean that there was goodness in his heart to ask Jehovah to free us from people who act like Dog, according to 2 Timothy 3:1-5, everywhere there are people with characteristics like this, we must be cautious, prudent in our walk.
1 Samuel 21:9. It is interesting to see that several years after David's victory against Goliath, there he decided to leave Goliath's sword in the sanctuary, as indicated by the fact that the priest Ahimelech gave it to him when he fled from Saul, details like these can make us enjoy more than reading the word of God.
1 Samuel 21:9. The Israelites kept certain things, as reminders of certain important events, such as the jar that contained the jar that contained the manna, Aaron's rod and in this story mention is made of Goliath's sword. However, they were not used for acts of idolatry because they knew that this was something detestable to Jehovah.
1 Samuel 22:1, 2. Despite his status as a rebel against King Saul, David was still someone who had a lot of support, for example, when his brothers and all of his father's house found out, they went down where he was, in addition, all those who had problems or debts, as well as those who were discontented, joined him, and David became their leader, without a doubt it can be said that this was a demonstration that he had divine favor.
1 Samuel 22:3. When David fled from Saul he took refuge in caves, his parents and brothers went to look for him and give him comfort despite the difficulty of the journey for them. And David worried about the care and protection of his parents for those tense moments for everyone. When we learn of the delicate emotional situation of a brother or sister, we want to be a source of encouragement because that can weaken their faith and spiritual activity. But the encouragement that is given will certainly have positive results especially it maintains trust and friendship with Jehovah.
1 Samuel 22:22, 23. Reading this we might think that David deliberately endangered Ahimelech the high priest, causing his death, however, there is nothing in the account to prove that David knew of Doeg's presence beforehand, David must have been surprised, even stunned, by the fact that Doeg, a man without principles, saw him with Ahimelech. However, what was done was already done. David could not change what happened, nor avoid the unpleasant consequences that Saul's anger brought on Ahimelech.
