Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022

Monday June 13, 2022

Put on the new personality that was created according to the will of God, according to true justice and loyalty (Eph. 4:24).

Imagine the joy those who are resurrected will feel as they shed their old selves and live according to God's righteous standards. Those who make these changes will have “a resurrection of life,” while those who rebel against God will not be allowed to disturb the peace of Paradise (John 5:28, 29; Isa. 65:20). Under the Kingdom, all of God's servants will see that what Proverbs 10:22 says is true: "The blessing of Jehovah is that which makes rich, and with it he brings no pain." With the help of Jehovah's spirit, they will become spiritually rich, that is, they will become more and more like Christ and will progress towards perfection (John 13:15-17; Eph. 4:23). Every day they will be better people and their body will become stronger. How happy they will be! (Job 33:25). w20.08 17 paras. 11, 12

Why is the resurrection a test of Jehovah's wisdom?

Fear of death is a powerful weapon. Those under Satan's control use that fear to force people to betray their friends or give up their convictions. But that threat doesn't work on us. We know that if our enemies kill us, Jehovah will restore us to life (Rev. 2:10). We are convinced that nothing they do can separate us from our God (Rom. 8:35-39). What extraordinary wisdom Jehovah has shown in giving us the hope of the resurrection. With it, he takes away from Satan one of his most powerful weapons and at the same time gives us indestructible courage.

What should we ask ourselves, and what will the answer indicate?

If our enemies threaten to take our lives, will we trust that Jehovah can restore them to us? To find out, let us ask ourselves: “Do the little decisions I make every day show that I trust in Jehovah?” (Luke 16:10). “Do I show by the way I live that I trust Jehovah’s promise to provide me with what I need if I seek the Kingdom first?” (Matt. 6:31-33). If the answer is yes, that confidence will help us face any trial that comes our way (Prov. 3:5, 6).
