APLPLY YOUR SELFTO THE FIELD MINISTRY: July 4-10, 2022, Lecture, Lesson 20, Prepared Assignment.

Address (5 mins): w21.08 23-25 pars. 15-19. Title: Set goals that your circumstances allow you to accomplish (th lec. 20).

Do you like to meet goals? Setting goals is something highly recommended since it encourages a healthy effort and an objective which you want to achieve, in the case of our service to Jehovah, we cannot set goals that will undoubtedly make us happy as a pioneer auxiliary or regular, go to Bethel, support construction, learn another language or move to a place where help is needed, when we strive to achieve these goals, we will feel happier and others will see our progress.

However, despite the fact that we may think that we will not be able to achieve any of these goals, what can we all do in that case? Well, we can all consider meeting a reasonable goal that we can achieve. For example, baptized Christians can do what 1 Timothy 4:13, 15 mentions, that a brother trying to improve in reading, speaking and teaching him, will be of great help to those who listen to him. You can work on putting the advice in the Become Better Readers and Teachers booklet into practice. As a result, you will feel happier, and so will your audience.

Another goal that we can meet is the one mentioned in 2 Timothy 4:5b, we all must fulfill our ministry so as an objective we can propose to improve our abilities when it comes to preaching and making disciples, we can follow and apply the suggestions that we have in our Teachers booklet, the Activity Guide, and the Discussion Ideas videos, if we follow these suggestions, we will have the great joy of being better teachers.

Let's not forget that one of the most important goals we can set for ourselves is to cultivate Christian qualities like the fruit of the spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22, 23, to cultivate it we must make an effort, for example, let's say we want to have a stronger faith. We can read articles in our publications that talk about that topic. It may also be helpful to watch JW Broadcasting® segments that feature brothers who displayed outstanding faith in difficult situations. Then let's think about ways we can copy their faith. To finish, let's read together the text of Proverbs 16:3 where it is mentioned what the result will be when we strive to achieve these goals.
