"Wisdom is worth more than gold" (10 min.)
This drawing is conceived in a way to remind us of what happened in the time of Solomon, two women one child, both said it was their son, how to know which was the mother? Solomon made it very easy for the child to be cut in two and each stitch was by the hand of each woman, we see how one of them is kneeling begging Solomon not to kill the child, to give it to the other woman, the other instead said to kill him, for Solomon the decision it was very easy, the kneeling woman was the true mother, how was it possible to know? Because the true mother would not allow that child to be killed, that wisdom that Solomon developed and demonstrated only had Jehovah as its source and let us briefly review how all this arose wisdom and how we can also practice it in our work within the Christian ministry.
LET'S READ: 1 Kings 3:7,9.
7 And now, Jehovah my God, you have made me king, your servant, in the place of David my father though I am but a young inexperienced man. 8 Your servant is among your people, whom you have chosen, a people so great that they cannot be numbered or counted. 9 Grant your servant an obedient heart to judge your people, to distinguish between good and bad, because who is capable of judging this numerous people of yours?
Solomon was aware that in his youth he did not have the experience to lead such a large people, a people that served Jehovah. He has thought that we also go through similar situations. Every time you receive a privilege in the congregation, no matter how small you think it is, it is because you can do it. It is because Jehovah is sure that you have the necessary capacity and skills to do so. But still, although you have a role to play, do as Solomon did when you have a new privilege in your hands.
Pray to Jehovah for needed wisdom, wisdom worth more than gold. Of course, this wisdom is not immediate. Today we also need to look for it, be good readers of the Word of God, read the instructions of the organization and put it into practice. We don't want to do things our way. We may have a lot of biblical knowledge, but wisdom is a totally different thing.
Being wise means knowing the information that Jehovah gives us. Understand it well and then use it to make good decisions. There you can see precisely if we are wise and for that we have to do the same as Solomon asking Jehovah. Pray constantly to help us see his point of view as it should be and apply it in the congregation or in any decision of our life.
LET'S READ: 1 Kings 3:10,13.
10 Jehovah was pleased that Solomon asked him for this. 11 Then God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not long life or riches or the death of your enemies, but understanding to hear legal cases, 12 I will do what you ask. I will give you a wise and understanding heart. So much so that there will never have been someone like you before, nor will there ever be again. 13 Moreover, I will give you even what you have not asked for: riches and glory. As long as you live, there will be no king like you.
What a beautiful way of reacting on Jehovah's part to Solomon's request! Ask for wisdom. He asks for nothing more. But how good that Jehovah sees that this humble man needed to have other things to not only demonstrate his wisdom, but also that he was a person blessed by God.
When we come to Jehovah in a humble way and carry out a task within the congregation or within the organization, we want not to stand out in front of others to draw attention to ourselves, but we want to demonstrate how a Christian should behave when carrying out any task that is asked. For example, within the congregation, working in maintenance, cleaning the Kingdom Hall or in the assemblies, doing activities that perhaps for others you are not so outstanding in terms of oratory, but that are fundamental in the performance of a Assembly.
Jehovah watches our heart and knows why we are doing it, and that we always think that what we do is as for Jehovah and not to stand out before men. Without a doubt, Jehovah will also be able to give us his blessing if we act like this and on a personal level we also want to demonstrate that we have that wisdom that is worth more than gold. There are times in our lives when economic instability, family problems, health problems push us to make wise decisions, we work a little harder and neglect our spiritual activity.
How will our families be affected if we slow down our spiritual pace to meet their physical needs? Jehovah also wants to see our reaction. Jehovah also wants to bless us for our decision to serve him faithfully. And let us be sure that depending on what we do, we are either harmed or benefited.

25 Throughout Solomon's reign, the people of Judah and Israel lived safely, each under his own vine and under his own fig tree, from Dan to Beer-sheba.
Solomon's wise decision that positively affected the people of Israel. The same thing happens in our cases when we decide to put spiritual things first. Our family, in addition to ourselves, will benefit. We want them to see that our wisdom comes from Jehovah. Our decision-making is based on what Jehovah has said, on his biblical principles, on his laws.
LET'S READ: Proverbs 16:16.
16 How much better it is to get wisdom than to get gold! It is preferable to obtain understanding than to obtain silver.
Solomon was a wise man, the wisest after the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for asking for such wisdom from Jehovah. The source of all knowledge. We also want to prove the same. We want people to see that it is not that we know much about the Bible, but that we know how to apply what his Word says. If we do so, Jehovah will be pleased to bless us and all those around us.
