Let's Examine the Scriptures Every Day 2022
Tuesday, September 13, 2022
The former things have passed away (Rev. 21:4).
With patience, Jehovah will wait for the thousand years to end so that we can be perfected. Until then, he is willing to forgive our sins. For this reason, let us imitate his example by focusing on the good qualities of others and being patient with them. Jesus and the angels were very happy when the Earth was created. Imagine how happy they will feel when they see it full of perfect people who love and serve Jehovah. And think of the joy that those who rule in heaven with Christ will feel when they see that humanity benefits from their work (Rev. 4:4, 9-11; 5:9, 10). Let us also imagine what life will be like when tears of pain give way to tears of joy, when sickness, sadness and death disappear forever. Until that day, let us be determined to imitate our Father's love, wisdom, and patience. If we do, we will remain happy in the face of whatever trials we face (Jas. 1:2-4). How grateful we are for Jehovah's promise that “there is going to be a resurrection” (Acts 24:15). w20.08 19 paras. 18, 19
How will the resurrection make us feel?
Let's imagine what it will be like to see our loved ones again. Will we laugh? Shall we cry with joy? Will we feel so happy that we will sing praises to Jehovah? What is certain is that we will feel a deep love for our loving Father and his loving Son for having made the resurrection possible.
According to Jesus' words recorded at John 5:28, 29, what will come to the resurrected who obey God's righteous standards?
Imagine also the joy those who are resurrected will feel as they shed their old selves and live according to God's righteous standards. Those who make these changes will have “a resurrection of life,” while those who rebel against God will not be allowed to disturb the peace of Paradise (read John 5:28, 29; Isa. 65:20).
How will Jehovah bless all who live on earth?
Under the Kingdom, all of God's servants will see that what Proverbs 10:22 says is true: "The blessing of Jehovah is that which makes rich, and with it he brings no pain." With the help of Jehovah's spirit, they will become spiritually rich, that is, they will become more and more like Christ and move toward perfection.—John 13:15-17; Eph. 4:23, 24. Every day they will be better people and their body will become stronger. How happy they will be! (Job 33:25). Now, how does meditating on the resurrection benefit us today?
