DAILY TEXT, Today Tuesday June 11, 2024,  All nations on earth will obtain a blessing for themselves through your descendants (Gen. 22:18).

Let us examine the Scriptures every day 2024.

Tuesday June 11, 2024

All the nations of the earth will obtain a blessing for themselves through your descendants (Gen. 22:18).

Jesus came to Earth as a man and perfectly reflected the personality of his Father (John 14:9). Through his example, he has helped us to know and love Jehovah. Jesus has also helped us with his teachings and his way of leading today's Christian congregation. He has taught us to live a life that makes Jehovah happy. And even his death can benefit us all. When he was resurrected, he offered the value of his blood as a perfect sacrifice that “cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). He is now an immortal King and full of glory. And soon he will crush the serpent's head (Gen. 3:15). The destruction of Satan will be an immense relief to faithful human beings. As he arrives that day, let us not give up. Our God deserves all our trust. He will give infinite blessings to “all the nations of the earth.” w22.07 18 para. 13; 19 para. 19.

HOW DOES THIS PROPHECY HELP US TODAY?

How does the fulfillment of this prophecy help us?

If you are a dedicated servant of God, the fulfillment of this prophecy is already influencing your life for good. And even the wound on Jesus' heel—his death—can benefit us all. When he was resurrected, he offered the value of his blood as a perfect sacrifice that “cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

How do we know that what Jehovah prophesied in Eden would not come true immediately?

What Jehovah said in Eden indicated that the prophecy would not be fulfilled immediately. Time would have to pass for the woman to have the promised offspring, for the Devil to gather his followers, and for enmity or hatred to arise between the two groups. How does knowing this help us? It serves as a warning to us: the world controlled by Satan would hate Jehovah's servants. Centuries later, Jesus said something similar to his disciples (Mark 13:13; John 17:14). There is no doubt that we have seen the fulfillment of that part of the prophecy, especially in the last 100 years. Why do we say it?

Why does the world hate us today more than ever? and Why should we not fear Satan?

Jesus became the Messianic King in 1914 and shortly after expelled Satan from heaven. Now the Devil can only influence him on Earth and is awaiting his destruction (Rev. 12:9, 12). But he is not waiting idly. In fury and desperation, he attacks God's people (Rev. 12:13, 17). That is the reason why the world hates us today more than ever. But we have no reason to fear Satan and his followers. On the contrary, we can have the same certainty that the apostle Paul had, who wrote: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31). We can completely trust Jehovah because, as we have seen, much of the prophecy of Genesis 3:15 has already been fulfilled.

How has understanding of Genesis 3:15 helped Curtis, Ursula, and Jessica?

The promise that Jehovah said in Genesis 3:15 helps us face any trial that comes our way. Curtis, a brother who is a missionary in Guam, says: “At times I have had problems and disappointments that have tested my loyalty to Jehovah. But meditating on the prophecy of Genesis 3:15 has helped me maintain trust in my heavenly Father.” Curtis looks forward to the day when Jehovah will put an end to all our difficulties.

A sister from Bavaria, Germany named Ursula says that understanding Genesis 3:15 convinced her that the Bible is the Word of God. Something that left a deep impression on him is that all other biblical prophecies are related to that of Genesis 3:15. She adds: “I was moved to discover that Jehovah quickly took action so that humanity would not be without hope.”

Jessica, a sister from Micronesia, says: “I still remember how I felt when I realized I had found the truth. She was fulfilling the prophecy of Genesis 3:15! Understanding it reminds me that the life we are living is not the real life. And this prophecy convinces me even more that serving Jehovah gives us the best life possible now and a much better one in the future.”
