APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, April 28-May 4, 2025, Start conversations: INFORMAL PREACHING. (Making disciples: a labor of love, Lesson 2 point 4). Prepared Assignment.
Start conversations (4 mins.) INFORMAL PREACHING. Find a way to tell the person something you recently learned in a meeting (lmd lesson 2 point 4).
Publisher: Marta, it's great to see us here during break time!
Assistant: Yes, so we talked a little about how incredible it is to see so many divorces. Family ties have never been weaker than in this century.
Publisher: Yes you're right. The family institution has deteriorated rapidly.
Assistant: Why will it be so difficult for so many couples to tolerate each other and stay together as a family?
Publisher: A popular opinion is that they do not get to live their entire lives with the same person. They see marriage as a fairy tale, but the reality is different. If spouses are not united by a strong sense of commitment and love, they are more likely, when they experience problems, to think that they are not made for each other and to look for ways to end their marriage.
Assistant: I know many people who have gotten married with a plan B: divorce.
Publisher: When they do that, they never really had a true sense of commitment.
Assistant: I agree, that's how it is. There are those who listen carefully and even speak respectfully to their friends, but they do not treat their partner in the same way. This behavior is strange, because family should be the most important thing.
Publisher: I agree, family is fundamental to our lives and our well-being. I recently attended a meeting where the importance of taking care of family was discussed.
Assistant: What else was said at the meeting?
Publisher: They talked about what we can do to take care of our family and to maintain unity and love within it. For example, it was mentioned that parents should take care of their children, teach them values and set an example.
Assistant: I agree with what was said there, and it is something to reflect on for our own relationship with family.
Publisher: Excellent! It was also mentioned that there are things we can do to improve our relationship and strengthen our bonds.
Assistant: That is very wise. I would like to know more about what was said at the meeting. Can you tell me more?
Publisher: Of course. The meeting focused on the importance of communication and respect within the family. It was mentioned that when we communicate effectively and respectfully, we can resolve conflicts and strengthen our relationship.
Assistant: That's very true, but let's get into it, the break is over.
Publisher: Yes, it was very brief. What do you think if tomorrow we continue chatting pleasantly?
Assistant: Clear! That seems very good to me.
