Dear brothers and sisters, I invite you to open your Bibles with me and read some beautiful and very practical inspired advice found in Proverbs 16:3. Please join me:

“Leave everything you do in the hands of the Lord, and your plans will succeed.”

This verse may seem very simple, but it contains a profound and powerful lesson for those of us who desire to please God.

Today we're going to reflect on what it truly means to leave our plans in Jehovah's hands and how that can make our projects successful—or rather, successful, with divine backing.

Let's start by understanding this first phrase: "Leave everything you do in the hands of Jehovah." Literally, according to Bible studies, it translates as "roll your works toward Jehovah." What does that mean?

Let's imagine we're carrying a very heavy backpack. Inside are our problems, decisions, plans, and responsibilities. There are days when that load is too much; we feel we can't take it anymore. But the text invites us to roll that burden over to Jehovah, as if we were handing it over to someone much stronger than ourselves.

This doesn't mean that Jehovah will do everything for us while we rest. It means that we ask for His guidance and direction, that we trust in what He thinks, not just what we think is best.

LET'S READ JAMES 1:5

“So if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God constantly, and he will receive it, for he gives generously to all and does not find fault.”

So, before making important decisions—related to family, work, or spiritual matters—we should pray and ask for help, not simply act on impulse.

Let's consider this example: imagine you're going to build a house. You can do it yourself, even if you have no experience, or you can ask an expert architect for help. Who would you rather entrust with the plans?

You might say, "The architect, of course!" And why? Because he has knowledge, experience, and vision. Well, the same goes for our plans. Jehovah is the best architect we could ever have. He sees further than we do. While we see the present moment, He sees the future consequences. So it makes sense to entrust Him with our plans.

Here comes the second part of the text: “And your plans will work out.”

Does that mean that whatever we want to do, God will approve and bless?

Not exactly. The Bible makes it clear that God doesn't bless just anything, but only what is in accordance with His will.

LET'S READ PSALM 127:1

“Unless Jehovah builds the house, it is of no use for the builders to work on it. Unless Jehovah protects the city, it is of no use for the guard to stay awake.”

How clear, isn't it? If our plan isn't aligned with Jehovah's standards and principles, no matter how hard we try, it won't work. But if it's in harmony with his will, then it will be implemented, as Proverbs says.

Brothers and sisters, Proverbs 16:3 encourages us to be humble and trust in Jehovah in everything we do. It's not just about asking for His help, but about making sure our plans are in harmony with His will.

When we do this, we can be sure that He will sustain us and give stability to our lives, like a foundation that withstands any storm.

So let's keep praying, consulting the Bible, and leaving everything in Jehovah's hands. Let's make his guidance the foundation of all our plans.
