APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY, September 22-28, 2025, Start Conversations: PUBLIC PREACHING. (Making Disciples: A Work of Love, Lesson 2, point 3). Prepared Assignment.

Start Conversations (2 mins.) PUBLIC PREACHING. Use one of the “Bible Truths We Love to Teach” following the method described in Appendix A of the booklet A Labor of Love (LMD lesson 2 point 3).

Setting: During public preaching, the publisher encounters someone observing the night sky. A conversation arises about who could have created all these wonders. The publisher provides biblically based information about who the Creator of all things is.

Publisher: Good evening. How are you?

Assistant: Good evening. Very well. Here I am, observing the beauty of nature: the moon, the stars… aren't they beautiful?

Publisher: Yes, the beauty of nature is incredible.

Assistant: Everything I see makes me wonder who could have created all this.

Publisher: Yes, that's true. Creation is a reflection of the greatness of a Creator. And you know what? The One who created everything has a name.

Assistant: A name? What is it?

Publisher: His name is Jehovah, as the Bible says in Psalm 83:18, which I will read to you briefly:"Let people know that your name is Jehovah, that you alone are the Most High over all the earth."

Assistant: I didn't know it was called that. What does that name mean?

Publisher: The name Jehovah means "He causes to come into being." And we know this because he made sure his name appeared in the Bible more than 7,000 times. Furthermore, Jehovah is the only one who has always existed and always will exist.

Assistant: I find it interesting. Do you think he cares about us?

Publisher: Of course. The Bible teaches us that Jehovah is a loving and merciful God who cares for his creatures. Furthermore, he wants to be called by name. Would you like to know more about the Creator of all things?

Assistant: Yes, I would like to know more about the Creator of all things.
