Dear brothers and sisters, to begin, let's watch a video that will give us valuable information about the book of Ecclesiastes, written by King Solomon. This book offers a unique perspective on how to live a life of purpose and meaning. Through his reflections, Solomon teaches us that true satisfaction is not found in temporal pleasures, but in our relationship with Jehovah.

This video reminded us that the true meaning of life lies in fearing God and obeying His commandments. Solomon, after experiencing everything—human wisdom, pleasures, riches—came to the conclusion that everything is “vanity” if one does not live with God at the center. With this reflection in mind, let us now consider the value of helping others find that same purpose in their lives.

Each generation has the responsibility to train the next.

LET'S READ ECCLESIASTES 1:4

“A generation goes and a generation comes, but the earth will remain forever.”

This text reminds us of something very important: Jehovah's people do not belong to just one generation, but extend from one to the next, like a spiritual legacy to be passed on. Therefore, each generation has the responsibility to train the next.

Older brothers, with years of experience and accumulated wisdom, have much to offer. Perhaps they have served for decades in preaching, holding privileges within the congregation, or helping others through difficult times. That knowledge should not be lost to them.

Instead, they must pass it on with patience and love to the younger ones. If we don't, we risk weakening the knowledge of Jehovah in the next generation. Let us remember what happened after Joshua's death: "Another generation arose that did not know Jehovah" (Judges 2:10). We don't want that to happen in our congregations.

So, older brothers, share your wisdom. Encourage the younger ones. Trust that Jehovah can use the most inexperienced, as he did with Jeremiah or Timothy.

And young people, be humble. Listen, learn, and value what your elders have to teach you. This intergenerational cooperation is essential for the spiritual health of the congregation.

When we train others and delegate tasks to them, we give them the opportunity to enjoy working hard for Jehovah.

When we trust others and give them responsibilities, we are giving them a golden opportunity: the chance to enjoy working for Jehovah.

LET'S READ ECCLESIASTES 2:24

"There is nothing better for a man than to eat, drink, and enjoy his hard work. I have come to the conclusion that this also comes from the hand of the true God."

When a young person preaches for the first time, leads a Bible study, gives their first talk, or helps clean the Hall, they may feel nervous at first. But when they finish, many say, “It feels so good to serve Jehovah in this way!” That joy comes from Jehovah. And it can only be experienced by doing, not just hearing or seeing.

A practical example: consider an older brother who, instead of insisting on directing all the parts or maintaining all the privileges, gives space to the younger members. Instead of feeling threatened by a younger elder leading a study, he supports, encourages, and praises the younger member.

This demonstrates spiritual maturity. The older brother understands that he is investing in the congregation's future and that by doing so, he is serving Jehovah with vision and love.

Training others is like building a building. The more experienced brothers can be like architects, and the younger ones can be like the workers who construct it. Both are necessary, and working together they can create something beautiful and lasting that glorifies Jehovah.

Conclusion

Dear brothers and sisters, the book of Ecclesiastes teaches us to live with wisdom and purpose. But that knowledge must be passed on.

Let us remember:

1. Each generation has the responsibility to train the next.

2. Delegating tasks allows others to grow and find joy in serving Jehovah.

3. Working together—young and old—is a sign of unity and Christian love.

This is how we ensure that Jehovah's work continues to advance. And more than that, we ensure that each new generation discovers for itself the wonder of serving Jehovah wholeheartedly.
