Circumstances: A man approaches the cart with a critical attitude and begins to make negative comments about the work of Jehovah's Witnesses. Although the man speaks in a challenging tone and makes accusations, the publisher remains calm, listens respectfully, and responds kindly. Thanks to her calm and peaceful demeanor, she manages to defuse the tension of the conversation and leave a good impression on the man.
Assistant: There they are again, those guys with the carts… Honestly, I don't understand why they spend hours standing here. They should find a real job and help people in need instead of handing out those little books.
Publisher: I understand how you might see it. But in reality, we all have jobs, responsibilities, and families. We come here in our free time because we want to share a message we believe is valuable. We do it voluntarily and with a lot of love for people.
Assistant: With affection? Come on, I don't believe that. You do it because your religion demands it. Besides, you don't even believe in Jesus; you only talk about Jehovah and alter the Bible to confuse people. Or are you going to tell me otherwise?
Publisher: I understand why some people think that, given the many comments and opinions circulating about us. But the truth is, we do deeply believe in Jesus Christ and recognize Him as our Savior. And regarding the Bible, we always encourage people to read it for themselves and verify what we teach.
Assistant: Well, at least you weren't upset like some of the other people I've spoken to. It's clear you know how to treat people.
