Let us examine the Scriptures every day 2026

They have become a source of great comfort (Col. 4:11).

When we suffer, Jehovah uses our brothers and sisters to show us how much he loves us. They can comfort us by listening empathetically or by supporting us with their presence. They may encourage us with a Bible scripture or pray with us (Rom. 15:4). Perhaps a brother or sister can remind us how Jehovah views things, and that can help us to maintain our balance and calm. Brothers and sisters can also help by doing other things, such as bringing us a meal. Of course, to receive help, you may have to ask for it (Prov. 17:17). Others may not know how you feel or what you need (Prov. 14:10). So look for mature friends with whom you can confide. It is good to tell them what they can do for you. You can talk to one or two trusted elders. And some sisters feel comfortable talking with another mature sister. w24.10 10 pars. 15, 16

What can we do to receive the Spirit of God?

After asking Jehovah for holy spirit, what do you need to do? Participate in activities that allow you to receive that spirit, such as attending meetings and doing the preaching work. Read the Bible every day, and you will fill your mind with Jehovah’s thoughts (Phil. 4:8, 9). As you read, take note of the characters who faced difficulties and meditate on how Jehovah helped them to endure. Sandra, mentioned in paragraph 6, went through many serious problems. She says: “The account of Joseph always touches me. He did not let the trials and injustices he suffered weaken his friendship with Jehovah” (Gen. 39:21-23).

What things can prevent us from receiving encouragement, and how can we fight against them?

Try not to isolate yourself. If you are very sad, you may not feel like being with anyone. Perhaps your brothers and sisters won’t understand you or will say something inappropriate (James 3:2). Don’t let that make you reject the encouragement they offer, which you so desperately need. An elder named Gavin, who suffers from depression, says: “Many times, the last thing I want to do is be with friends.” Even so, he makes the effort to be with others, and it often makes him feel better. A sister named Amy comments: “Because of things that have happened to me, I find it hard to trust people. But I am learning to love and trust my brothers and sisters, just as Jehovah does. That makes him happy, and me too.”

What wonderful future awaits us, and what can we do now?

How wonderful it is to know that Jehovah will soon heal us both physically and emotionally, and that he will eliminate everything that causes us suffering (Rev. 21:3, 4). In the new world, the things that hurt us will not “come into the heart” (Isa. 65:17). As we have seen, Jehovah binds up our wounds even now. He has lovingly given us many things to comfort and relieve us. So take advantage of them! Do not doubt for a moment: Jehovah loves you very much (1 Pet. 5:7).
