APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: November 2-8, 2026. Let's start conversations. FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. (Making Disciples: A Work of Love, Lesson 1, point 5). Assignment Prepared.
Let's Start Conversations (3 mins.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. Teach a Bible truth. If you wish, you may use one of those listed in appendix A of the brochure A Work of Love (lmd lesson 1 point 5).
Setting: During his house-to-house witnessing, the publisher visits a neighbor and shows him, using a Bible text, that God’s Kingdom will bring a definitive solution to humanity’s problems. They agree to continue the conversation on a future visit.
Publisher: Good morning! My name is [name] and I live nearby. We're briefly visiting our neighbors to talk about something that concerns many of us: how difficult it has become to make ends meet.
Today, even though people work hard, they sometimes can't afford their own home or be sure they can provide a good future for their children. Do you think human governments will ever be able to solve these problems for good?
Assistant: Honestly, I don't see it happening. They always promise things will get better, but everything keeps getting more expensive and money buys less and less.
Publisher: Yes, I understand. Many people feel the same way. Although efforts are being made to improve the situation, problems continue to affect families. That's why I'd like to share with you a hope we find in the Bible. It teaches us that God's Kingdom will bring the ultimate solution.
Please note what Jehovah promises at Isaiah 65:21-23. May I read it to you?
Assistant: Yes of course.
Publisher: It says: “They will build houses and live in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. 22 They will not build houses for others to live in, nor will they plant for others to eat. For the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, and my chosen ones will fully enjoy the fruit of their labor. 23 They will not labor in vain.
Nor will they bring children into the world to suffer, because they are the offspring composed of those whom Jehovah has blessed, they and their descendants.”
What a beautiful promise! Jehovah guarantees that people will be able to enjoy the fruit of their labor and live in peace, without fear that their efforts will be in vain.
Of all these promises, which one would you like to see come true first?
Assistant: Honestly, what she said about children really caught my attention. You want your children to have a better life, but seeing the state of the world, sometimes their future is a real worry.
Publisher: I understand. As parents, we want to protect our children and give them the best. How wonderful to know that Jehovah also cares about them and promises a future in which families will not have to suffer as they do now.
And perhaps you are wondering: When will God's Kingdom begin to fulfill these promises, and how will it do so? If you agree, we can discuss that question with the Bible when I visit you again.
Assistant: Yes, I'd like to know.
Publisher: Perfect. Thank you so much for your time. Have a good day.
