The virgins who were prepared entered with him into the wedding banquet (Matt. 25:10).

The parable of the ten virgins teaches us the importance of always being spiritually prepared and not letting our guard down, even if the end of this system takes longer than we expect. The wise virgins prepared in advance and did not let the waiting take them by surprise. In the same way, we must strengthen our faith, study God’s Word, pray, and remain active in our service to Jehovah. It is not enough to have been prepared in the past; we must continue to be prepared every day. If we remain faithful and vigilant until the end, we will demonstrate that we truly desire to receive the blessings that Jehovah has promised us.

What was the difference between the five wise virgins and the five foolish ones?

The difference is that the five wise virgins were prepared to wait for the bridegroom as long as necessary, for they brought extra oil for their lamps. In contrast, the five foolish virgins did not bring extra oil, and when they realized their lamps were about to go out, they had to go and buy more. Therefore, when the bridegroom arrived, the wise ones entered with him into the wedding banquet, while the foolish ones arrived late and were not allowed to enter.

Why did the wise virgins carry flasks of extra oil?

The wise virgins brought flasks of extra oil because they were prepared to wait for the bridegroom as long as necessary, even if he arrived late at night. In this way, they ensured their lamps would not go out. Something similar will happen with anointed Christians: those who prove faithful and remain vigilant until the bridegroom, Jesus, comes will be able to enter with him into his heavenly Kingdom.

What does the parable of the 10 virgins teach the anointed?

The parable of the 10 virgins teaches the anointed ones that they must always be prepared and watchful, and faithfully endure to the end to receive their reward. This teaching also reminds us that all of us, whether we hope to live in heaven or on earth, must remain alert and faithful to Jehovah to the end.
