Let us examine the Scriptures every day 2026

Monday, November 2, 2026

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him continually ask God, for he gives generously to all without finding fault (James 1:5; footnote).

Jehovah sets an excellent example of generosity by sharing his wisdom without reproaching or criticizing us when we ask for his help. We can imitate him by sharing our knowledge and experience with others, taking advantage of opportunities to train new publishers, brothers with responsibilities, and those who assist in construction and maintenance. By teaching with patience, love, and generosity, we help others to prepare themselves to teach others as well.

What does Jehovah do with his wisdom?

Jehovah generously shares his wisdom with us. He does not keep it to himself, but encourages us to ask him for guidance when we need it. Moreover, he does so without reproaching or criticizing us for acknowledging our need for his help.

What opportunities do we have to share what we know?

We have many opportunities to share what we know. For example, we can teach new ones how to preach, elders can patiently train ministerial servants and other brothers to handle their responsibilities, and those with experience in construction or maintenance can teach others how to do those jobs in Kingdom Halls and other facilities.

How can we follow Jehovah's example in training others?

We can follow Jehovah’s example by generously sharing our knowledge and experience, holding nothing back for fear that others will take our place. Furthermore, we should dedicate time and effort to teaching patiently and lovingly, trusting that those we train will also be able to teach others. In this way, we contribute to a chain of generosity that benefits the entire congregation.

REFLECTION

Today’s text teaches us that we should not be selfish with the knowledge or experience we have gained. At times, we might think that if we teach others everything we know, they could eventually take our place or do our work. But Jehovah teaches us the opposite: we should generously share what we know and rejoice when others progress. Furthermore, by training others patiently and lovingly, we not only help our brothers and sisters develop their abilities but also strengthen unity and a spirit of generosity in the congregation.
