Standards for Pure Worship Today

15. What do we need to remember as we discuss some lessons from the temple of vision?

We have to remember that what Ezekiel is seeing and we with him, is not the great spiritual temple, only lessons are being extracted that have to do with our worship of Jehovah.

16. What do we learn from all the measurements that appear in Ezekiel's vision? (See the drawing at the beginning).

In the first place we learn that it is Jehovah who sets the standards, he is precise in what he asks of his servants. 2) By measuring the temple with such precision, Jehovah guarantees that the restoration of pure worship is an absolute reality. The fulfillment of God's promises is as exact as all those exact measurements.

What have you learned from the exact measurements of the temple? (See paragraph 16)

17. What does the outer wall that surrounded the huge temple area remind us?

It reminds us that we have to make sure that spiritual filth stays a long way from pure worship, so that God's house is never contaminated. That is why we strive to rid ourselves of false teachings and practices that are steeped in idolatry and pagan doctrines. Nor do we deal with business matters in the Kingdom Hall because we want to keep those kinds of things out of our worship.

18, 19. a) What do we learn from the huge doors that the temple of vision had?

We learn that Jehovah's moral standards are very high. Hence, we strive to behave as it should be without any kind of idolatry. as Romans 12: 9 indicates by detesting what is bad. And as 1 Peter 1:15 shows being holy in all our conduct.

(b) How will we react when someone tries to lower Jehovah's high standards? Give an example.

We will not be confused. For example, the Bible clearly says that those who practice homosexuality are doing something "that is obscene." And Jehovah warns us about the danger of condoning immoral conduct. If someone tries to convince us that God's standards in this regard are wrong, will we think the same, or will he rather support what Jehovah God says?

20. What details of Ezekiel's vision strengthen the “great crowd”?

For example, the fact that you have seen, that the courtyards were full of dining rooms where the Jews could eat together part of the peace sacrifices. He reminds the great crowd, that when he makes comments, showing his faith in meetings or in preaching, he makes sacrifices of praise, and also is spiritually nourished.
