Surely, Jesus has very important instructions to give his disciples, because the first thing he does after resurrecting is to organize this meeting. In it he explained to his disciples what fundamental work they should do during the first century, the same as we do today. He told them, “So go and make disciples of people of all nations. [...] Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you ”(Matt. 28:19, 20). Jesus wants all his followers to preach. This command was not just for the eleven faithful apostles. Why are we so sure? Well, the apostles were not the only ones who were on that mountain in Galilee when Jesus gave the command to make disciples. Remember that the angel told the women that they would see Jesus in Galilee (Matt. 28: 7). So it is likely that faithful women were also present on that occasion. w20.01 2 paras. 1-4

What should we take into account when deciding whether or not to end a Bible course?

If the student does not progress, we will have to ask ourselves if we should continue teaching him. One point that we must take into account is the capacity of the person. Some take longer to progress than others. So let's ask ourselves: “Is the student progressing at a reasonable rate, taking into account his circumstances? Have you started to put what you learn into practice? " (Matt. 28:20). Although a student may progress slowly, we should be able to see him make changes.

Now, what will we do if the student shows that he values ​​the study of the Bible very little or does not value it at all? Let's think about this case. The student has already finished the Teach Us book and may have even started the Keep Going book, but has not attended any meetings, not even the Memorial. In addition, it is customary to cancel the course for minor reasons. In that case, we should have a frank conversation with him. *

What can we say to someone who seems not to value the Bible course, and what should we take into account?

We can start the conversation by asking him this question: "What do you think is the biggest obstacle you have to being one of Jehovah's Witnesses?" If a student who has been taking classes for some time told us that he likes to learn from the Bible but that he will never be one of Jehovah's Witnesses, does it make any sense to continue with the course? On the other hand, the student may reveal for the first time why he is not making progress. For example, you may think that you will never be able to preach from house to house. Well, once we know how you feel, it will be easier for us to help you.
