Video of the revisit (5 min.): Analysis with the audience. Play the video Revisit: The Bible (Rev 21: 3, 4). Stop the video at each pause and ask the questions that appear in it.
Imagine that the person asks you if this text refers to when one dies and goes to heaven. What would you answer?
I would answer that this text refers to the great promise that Jehovah makes us, he promises us that we will never again draw tears from our eyes, because he will dry them. And death will no longer exist, which means that our friends and family who left before their time will be with us on Earth made a paradise.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
First we would start with the question and we would be grateful if you asked it, then we would ask you if there is death in heaven, the safest thing is that you will answer us no, and then we would ask you where death exists, perhaps you will tell us here on earth, that is why the text is addressed to people on earth.
We could mention that many think like this and that to be in heaven one has to die but there in the text it does not say that one has to die to enjoy those, it even says that death is one of the things that will cease to exist.
What text would you show the person on the next visit?
On the next visit, the text I would show him would be Romans 15: 4. Because this text answers the question that remains pending. This text talks about how it can help us understand the bible. One of the things that can help us understand the bible would be that all the things that were previously written were written for our teaching, so that we have hope.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
We could show Acts 8: 26-39 where the story of the Ethiopian eunuch is mentioned and shows that I need someone else to teach him.
Or also Matthew 28: 19 and 20 where Jesus sent people to teach other people about the good news.
What would you say to offer the Enjoy Life brochure?
I would tell you that by ourselves it would be difficult to reason in these texts, so I would like to offer you this booklet that, although it does not replace the Bible, does help us to meditate on some of the texts cited there. We could say that the Bible also answers many other questions that help us even today, and we could show you the introductory paragraph of the booklet where it talks about the different questions people often ask.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Well, the brochure enjoy life in lesson 2 point 3 talks about what things cannot help to trust what the bible says, then we can say many people find it difficult to believe that God can take away death, it is because that this brochure in point 3 of lesson two has been giving us some help to trust what the bible says.
