Watchtower Study, What Does Jehovah's Loyal Love Mean to Us ?, Jan 3-9, 2022, Comments and Responses.

1. What is Jehovah encouraging us to do?

At Micah 6: 8, Jehovah, through his prophet, says that what he expects of his servants is: that we love "loyal love."

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Jehovah we come to all his servants to take pleasure in loyal love just as he does.

In this regard, the note on Micah 6: 8 is very clear as it literally says that we come to love loyal love.

In addition, Hosea 6: 6 marks that loyal love and knowledge give him more pleasure than sacrifices.

2. What is loyal love?

"Loyal love" is: "a love motivated by commitment, integrity, loyalty and deep attachment, almost always related to the love that God feels for human beings, but it can also refer to the love that a human being it shows to another ». So this feeling is directed at people, not concepts or inanimate objects.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

It has to do with loyalty, integrity and commitment, so it is not a superficial friendship but a deep attachment to Jehovah or a person.

We can find it in the glossary of the new world translation and added what has been commented, the glossary mentions that this loyal love is almost always related to the love that God feels for human beings but it can also refer to the love that a human being can demonstrate to another.

It is interesting a fact remains the book let's get closer to Jehovah that speaking of this quality says that it is not simply fidelity since one can be faithful to an army to one person but always duty, but it is interesting that here it adds that it is marked by the profound love that one feels for another and that fosters that loyalty, so it is very interesting to see how Jehovah highlights above all the love that loyalty feels towards us.

JEHOVAH IS "FULL OF LOYAL LOVE"

3. What did Jehovah say to Moses?

Jehovah spoke to Moses of his name and his qualities, telling him that he is: "a merciful, compassionate, patient God, full of loyal love and truth, who shows loyal love to thousands, who forgives mistakes, offenses and sins."

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

The second time Moses went up Mount Sinai, Jehovah mentioned that he is a patient, compassionate, merciful God and above all he mentions that he is full of loyal love, Exodus 34 in verse 7 mentions that he shows love to thousands of people.

Very interesting that on this occasion, as the paragraph says, Jehovah was talking to Moses about his name and his qualities as if Jehovah were describing himself, he could also have chosen many other qualities but he decides to say that he is full of loyal love, so we see which is a very unique characteristic on the part of our father.

4, 5. (a) What did Jehovah say about himself?

Jehovah emphasized his loyal love because he said it is "full of loyal love." Furthermore, the seven times that the Bible speaks of this quality it refers only to Jehovah, which shows that this divine quality is very all-encompassing.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Jehovah said that he was full of loyal love and not only in exodus but 7 times more in the Bible he also uses this phrase to describe Jehovah, he says full of loyal love, it is curious that the seven times good the 8 of this phrase refers to Jehovah not to human beings.

It is striking that, as the paragraph explains, that Jehovah emphasizes so much this quality is in fact so important that the work of insight says that if it were not for this quality, loyal love, humanity would have perished long ago.

In fact, there are more texts that emphasize this idea, such as those we see in the note in Psalm 69:13 or 106: 7 speaks of the immense loyal love that Jehovah has or for example lamentations speaks about that he would show mercy due to his great love loyal so even loyal love is what prompts you to display other qualities as well.

If Jehovah said that he was full of loyal love, it was because that quality was important to him. He wants us to know it. An example of someone who meditated on this was David. The question at the end of the paragraph is very beautiful. We value God's loyal love as much as David, David in his life saw how Jehovah demonstrated this quality to him through study because we can do the same.

b) What questions are we going to answer?

The questions are: To whom does Jehovah show loyal love? And how do Jehovah's acts of loyal love benefit us?

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

We will answer just these two questions: To whom does Jehovah show loyal love? And how do Jehovah's acts of loyal love benefit us?

Let's answer these two questions: To whom does Jehovah show loyal love? And how do Jehovah's acts of loyal love benefit us?

TO WHOM DOES JEHOVAH SHOW LOYAL LOVE?

6. To whom does Jehovah show loyal love?

Jehovah shows love to all human beings, but he only shows "loyal love" to those who have a special relationship with him. Thus, we can say that Jehovah's loyal love directly benefits his servants and that is why we are sure that he will never abandon us.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Here in the paragraph texts such as Proverbs 12: 1 or Proverbs 29: 3 are shown about things that we can have love for, for example, discipline, wisdom, but loyal love can only be directed to people.

And not just anyone but special people people who have a special relationship with Jehovah, in other words his friends.

7. How has Jehovah shown love to all human beings in general?

Jehovah has always shown his love and how good he is to “all humans” because every day he makes his sun rise on everyone, he allows us to enjoy the beautiful flowers, trees, have food and much more. But the greatest sign of his love is the one recorded in the Bible in John 3:16 where it says that "He gave up his only-begotten son so that no one who has faith may be destroyed, but may have eternal life."

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

For Jehovah shows love to all human beings, as we see in the Illustration, he makes his sun rise on the good and the bad and sends the rain on the just and the unjust, he has also given us creation to enjoy but the most valuable thing he has given us all opportunity to benefit from Jesus' sacrifice.

We see people of all kinds reflected there but with a concert color it seems that they are brothers who are in different facets of the ministry perhaps and in the background we also see other people in gray that represent the rest of the people of humanity, so all are loyal servants of God As people who do not believe in Jehovah or do not serve him, they benefit from all these acts of love that he distributes for all kinds of people to all humanity in general.

And the effect that this love can have on people can be enormous because there are many people who do not have a relationship with Jehovah but these samples of love can be born that lead to wanting to know more about him and thus have a close relationship with him.

ILLUSTRATION:

People of different backgrounds and ages. Series of images: Signs of Jehovah's love. 1. Sunlight and rain. 2. Flowers, plants, and trees. 3. The opportunity to benefit from the rescue.

Jehovah gives many good things to all human beings, even those who do not worship him. (See paragraph 7.) *

We see David is composing some of the psalms that we can read now and in 2 of them he refers to two of these requirements that are needed to receive Jehovah's loyal love and that is to know Jehovah and fear him.

Delving a little deeper into David's case in paragraph 9, Psalm chapter 4 verse 3 refers to Psalm chapter 4 The watchtower said that David may have composed it to express to Jehovah the relief and gratitude he felt after the failure of the coup d'état of his son Absalom and on that occasion we know that David had everything against him, he even had to flee from his own house to save his life, but he could see first-hand how Jehovah helped him and verify what he said there in Psalm 4: 3 that Jehovah treats his loyal ones in a special way.

Also, it is not a temporary love that we can have over a certain time, but Isaiah 54:10 tells us my loyal love will not depart from you so as long as we continue to strive to serve Jehovah with loyalty and in the right way, Jehovah will follow us giving that special treatment that we strive to achieve.

Psalm 107: 43 | It is very interesting because it says that if we are wise we will keep these things in mind and we will analyze with interest Jehovah's acts of loyal love, when analyzing this quality we feel attracted and we want to show a special affection also to Jehovah for them.

8, 9. (a) Why does Jehovah show loyal love to his servants?

King David and the prophet Daniel explain why Jehovah shows "loyal love" only to his servants, it is because: they know him, fear him, love him and obey his commandments. So even though Jehovah showed us love before we met him, when we began to serve and worship him, we also began to receive his “loyal love” in a special way.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

And we are in that first class because we worship him in the right way the way he wants and for example in David's words because we spend time getting to know Jehovah and that produces in us a fear of doing the things that he wants that way We become his friends and he shows us this precious quality.

b) What will we analyze now?

We will discuss three ways in which "Jehovah's acts of loyal love" benefit us.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Well, following the advice of this psalm that we just read that the wise person analyzes with interest Jehovah's acts of loyal love, we are going to analyze three ways in which Jehovah's loyal love benefits us.

ILLUSTRATION:

Series of images: 1. King David plays the harp and sings. 2. The prophet Daniel reads a scroll.

King David and the prophet Daniel said that Jehovah shows loyal love to those who know him, fear him, love him and obey his commandments. (See paragraphs 8 and 9).

HOW DO JEHOVAH'S ACTS OF LOYAL LOVE BENEFIT US?

10. How does it benefit us to know that God's loyal love lasts forever? (Psalm 31: 7).

It benefits us to know because this gives us the assurance that we can always count on his "loyal love" even in difficult and distressing moments. Knowing that Jehovah will always be by our side gives us joy and the strength to face problems and keep walking on the path that leads to life.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

It gives us a lot of joy, it gives us a lot of happiness and encouragement to continue facing the situations in which we are living, we are living moments that are not easy, but keep in mind that Jehovah is always there by our side that we can count on his loyal love because that is gives happiness to move on.

And it also tells us that it lasts forever which is not like sometimes when we buy something and we know that the guarantee has a certain limit and then perhaps we are more afraid of being able to use it because of what may happen to it, we know that this love lasts forever and that therefore there will not be a time when it ends and we have to be afraid of what may happen.

The reason why this strengthens us so much is because in the end the trust in other human beings can end as the trust we have that Jehovah can help us says is that it is constant and in Psalm 31:11 David is talking about I am The terror of my acquaintances when they see me in public bone that can happen to anyone else but it is very reassuring to know that we enjoy Jehovah's loyal love is forever.

And it also strengthens us because Jehovah is not quick to abandon his servants in the world in which we live, many times we see couples who immediately tire of each other and abandon them or friends who when they have a bad time they also leave you because alone They want to be in good times. It strengthens us a lot to know that our God, even if we have a bad time or need his help, will not abandon us or stop having that loyal love for us.

11. According to Psalm 86: 5, what prompts Jehovah to forgive?

This Psalm says that what prompts Jehovah to forgive us is "his loyal love." We must realize that because of this quality "He does not treat us according to our sins or give us what we deserve for our mistakes", rather, when we "call him" and show our heartfelt repentance, his "loyal love" prompts him to forgive us.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

And we see what their love is like and if these people repent from the heart and change, they strive to change because they will be forgiven and they will see loyal love.

In paragraph 8 we saw the three things that prompts Jehovah to show loyal love to his servants, those who know him and fear his commandments when a person makes a mistake he repents and as he knows Jehovah he begins to grow again from that fear of Jehovah for which Jehovah is impelled to forgive him for the love he has and since that person is showing that he loves his commandments he is obeying his commandments Jehovah has no qualms about showing loyal love to that servant who has repented.

And how we have read in the psalm Jehovah is willing to forgive and show loyal love and that David said these words teaches us a lot because as we know David made many and very serious mistakes but thanks to his sincere repentance this made him see in the first person that Jehovah is always ready to forgive us and to show that loyal love.

12, 13. What will help us if we are overwhelmed with guilt due to mistakes we made in the past?

This will help us to understand and meditate that Jehovah is willing to show us his loyal love. In Psalms 103: 11,12 David describes with a very graphic image, how far Jehovah removes our sins from us, there he says that: "As far as the east is from the west, so far he has put our sins from us." We all know the separation that exists between these two cardinal points and that they can never be met, which means that when Jehovah forgives us, he pushes away sins as far as possible and that is why we can serve him happily and with a clear conscience.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

It will help us remember the sacrifice that Jesus made by which we can serve Jehovah while still being imperfect with a clear conscience.

And it's funny how our heart behaves, not as the paragraph says because it condemns us, it convinces us, it gives us reasons to feel bad. the beginning when we study the ransom, the ransom that Jehovah is willing to forgive and when one is overwhelmed by guilt, we must take time to give reasons and assure in our hearts what we are analyzing.

14. How did David describe how God's loyal love protects us?

At Psalm 32: 7,10 David said that “Jehovah is a hiding place and a protection in times of trouble. And that those who trust in Jehovah, He surrounds them with his loyal love. So these words "hide and surround" indicate that Jehovah's acts of loyal love are like a wall that protects us from any spiritual danger.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

He said that those who trust in Jehovah are surrounded by his loyal love an image that, as the paragraph shows, reminds us of what happens with the walls in those times that surrounded a city to protect it.

And how well this idea is complemented by the word Jeremiah 31: 3 says Jehovah that is why I attracted you with my loyal love, that is, Jehovah not only puts a wall of protection around us but also attracts us so that we are spiritually protected inside inside that wall.

15. How is Jehovah's loyal love like a refuge and a fortress?

We know that a refuge and a fortress protects us from danger, so when David connected Jehovah's loyal love with a refuge and a fortress, I mean to say that: no matter where on earth we live, as long as we are servants from Jehovah, He will give us all the protection we need to maintain our valuable relationship with him.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Yes here reading the words of Moses are very revealing Psalm 91: 1 says oh Jehovah you have been our dwelling for all generations and the note says our refuge, so we can think of the people of Israel during the captivity in Egypt and how they could come to feel at home thanks to Jehovah that love that he showed them and that he came to act as a refuge that protected them in so many ways from which he suffered there.

And this same guarantee or this same idea is found in Psalm 91, there it speaks of the secret place of the highest that how we know is the symbolic refuge where we can enter free to our dedication and baptism and in this symbolic refuge Jehovah protects us from dangers For this reason we now understand why in the next verse in 91: 2 the psalmist could tell Jehovah that it was his refuge and his strength because it was a place where he was safe in a spiritual sense.

16. What two blessings do we enjoy? (Psalm 136: 23).

The two blessings are: First, no matter where we live, we have a safe place to take refuge - the loving arms of Jehovah. And second, it shows us that our loving heavenly Father cares a great deal about us. At Psalm 136: 23 he says that "Jehovah's loyal love reminds him of us when we are down." This gives us confidence as it assures us that we can count on his support, care and help to get us back on our feet.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

First, that no matter where we live we have a safe place to take refuge.

And second, our loving heavenly father cares very much for us.

ILLUSTRATION:

Jehovah's servants are highlighted in the midst of all human beings. Series of images: Signs of Jehovah's loyal love. 1. His eternal love, accompanied by a drawing of the Earth surrounded by starry skies. 2. His forgiveness, accompanied by a picture of a sister praying. 3. His spiritual protection, accompanied by a drawing of a fortified city. At heart, signs of Jehovah's love to all people. 4. Sunlight and rain. 5. Flowers, plants and trees. 6. The rescue.

Jehovah blesses those who serve him in a special way. (See paragraphs 10-16). *

The first one is the eternal love that Jehovah has for us and we saw that this loyal love he demonstrates in various ways in various ways and is constant, so he will never abandon us and whatever we are going through. because he will always give us the strength and the joy to face problems.

We have also seen another very special provision thanks to his loyal love that is the forgiveness he gives us and that this lets us know that he is willing to forgive us in case we commit a sin and we truly repent that as we have seen we have no reason To think that we will never be worthy of receiving this forgiveness because he has done everything necessary for us to obtain and also wants to do it for this loyal love.

We have also seen that it serves as a protection for our spirituality since it acts as a wall that keeps us away from any type of temptation or any situation that can put our spirituality at risk and that is very nice because once we are inside that wall Jehovah helps us even if we fall to rise again.

How now we see in the image and the people who were in gray no longer appear and now we see that only his servants whom Jehovah has a close relationship with servants as servants of Jehovah they can only enjoy that eternal love of his forgiveness and of your spiritual protection.

WHY GOD'S LOYAL LOVE GIVES US CONFIDENCE

17. What can we trust? (Psalm 33: 18-22)

We can trust that Jehovah will always show us loyal love and help us and give us the support we need to be loyal. At Psalm 33: 18,22 it says that "Jehovah's eyes are on those who fear him and those who expect his loyal love," so Jehovah's servants have absolute confidence that we have divine help, and this infuses us great tranquility of heart and mind.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

In what if we do things well and keep waiting for Jehovah he will show us his loyal love.

How beautiful is the text of the second letter to Corinthians 4: 7 to 9 speaks of how we can be oppressed, we can be persecuted, we can be overthrown but the power that goes beyond the normal and that comes from Jehovah does not go To allow us not to find a way out is not going to allow us to be destroyed and it is not going to allow us to be abandoned, then in any situation that we may face, Jehovah will always give us the necessary support to move forward.

Jehovah's eyes are on those who fear him, on those who wait for him, this gives us the reassurance that whatever the trial we are facing we are accompanied we are alone or wherever we are we have Jehovah's loyal love yes we remain loyal and this is something that will strengthen us in any circumstance in any trial.

18, 19. a) What do we want to remember?

We want to remember that: Jehovah shows love to all humans in general, but only shows "loyal love" to his servants who serve and worship them. In addition to this quality, it motivates him to take us in his arms to protect us and keep us close to him. We also have the guarantee that whatever problem we face, Jehovah will give us the strength we need to make him faithful.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

If we want to remember what we have seen in this article that by the simple fact of existing Jehovah already loves us but the day we learned the truth and were baptized and we were his servants he shows us a special treatment he gives us his loyal love so that He gives the guarantee that whatever problem we are going through, we have the confidence that he will not leave us and he will always be by our side.

Psalm 46: 1, 2 assures us how that Loyal love acts and makes a review, our refuge is our strength our help and when taking all that into account, verse 2 says that that is why we will not be afraid even if the earth undergoes change because no matter in what kind of place we are Jehovah will come to us.

b) What will we see in the next article?

Since Jehovah expects us to show loyal love to one another, in the next article we will see how we can do this.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Well, just as Jehovah shows loyal love to us, he also expects us to show it to the other brothers, so in the next article we will see how we can do it.

WHAT WOULD YOU ANSWER?

What is loyal love?

"Loyal love" is: "a love motivated by commitment, integrity, loyalty and deep attachment, almost always related to the love that God feels for human beings, but it can also refer to the love that a human being it shows to another ». So this feeling is directed at people, not concepts or inanimate objects.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Loyal love is love motivated by commitment, integrity, loyalty, and attachment.

And although this expression almost always appears in the Bible because it refers to love as it expresses this quality God to humans, on some occasions it also refers to how human beings demonstrate it, therefore we can demonstrate loyal love and what you want Jehovah is that we see it as being a quality that causes us pleasure.

To whom does Jehovah show loyal love?

Jehovah shows "loyal love" only in his servants who worship him and have a special relationship with him.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

It is directed towards people and especially those who have a relationship with him.

Speaking of these people, what this relationship has with him, we saw 4 requirements that are those who know him, fear him, love him and obey his commandments.

Why are you appreciative of Jehovah's loyal love?

Because it makes me see that I am favored, since Jehovah has this quality reserved only for those of us who want to serve him in the right way. In addition, I am grateful that he shows me loyal love especially in times of need and anguish because I know that he will never fail me and will always protect me.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

We can be very grateful because as if it were a city of refuge, Jehovah introduces us there with his walls, he protects us and whatever happens outside, nothing is going to affect our relationship with him.

It is also a quality that he reserves for who his friends are, it is not a quality for anyone, that also makes us value the quality and that we want to respond to Jehovah because we feel valuable and with the opportunity to give something to Jehovah than others. people can't.

And why is it a gift because no matter how much we remain faithful to Jehovah we are imperfect so that we are not aware, sometimes we make mistakes but Jehovah is with us Jehovah makes us be safe and that we continue to have hope and that deep down May we move on to do things that we never thought we became thanks to that loyal love.
