“Be Happier in Ministry: Help Students Avoid Bad Company” (10 min.): Audience Discussion. Play the video Let's Help Students Avoid Bad Company.
What are bad companies? (1Co 15:33).
They are the people who make us spoil our good habits, they can make us move away from God. If we want to remain good friends with God, we must not be friends with those who do bad things. Nor should we be friends with those who say they serve Jehovah but disobey him.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
According to what the text of 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, a bad company is any person that we put aside the good companies and in our case they can be the people who worship Jehovah, because they do not motivate us to preach to attend meetings and as we see in the video they have bad attitudes for example, they like debauchery, alcoholic beverages and other bad habits.
"Do not be fooled. Bad company spoils good habits.” – 1 Corinthians 15:33.
As 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, bad companies are those that make us lose good habits, such as inciting us to have fun in a non-Christian or healthy way, endangering our Christian personality.
How did Coral imagine the Witnesses having fun?
When Rita talks about the meetings they hold with the brothers of the congregation, Coral imagines a boring place, with some brothers who play instruments such as the flute, violin and trumpet, she sees it as a boring place compared to what she sees. He had fun with his friends at the disco.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
She imagined that the Witnesses' social gatherings were boring, and that she wouldn't enjoy herself as much as she did.
In the video we saw a mental image that Coral made when Rita described to her that they were carrying musical instruments. She imagined that the idea of fun we had was boring, but it wasn't.
How did Rita help Coral replace her friendships?
I help her by encouraging her to go to the meetings they had with the brothers of the congregation so that she can get away from the bad friendships she had. Coral went to the meeting and realized that it was not boring as she imagined, on the contrary, she had a lot of fun.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Well, inviting them to spend time with the sisters of her congregation, and the time changing the entertainment she had for healthy entertainment.
It is not easy to replace friendships and leave our lives behind. But Rita helped her, not only inviting her to the meeting but also to leisure time. So that little by little Coral was relating to friends who have fun in a healthy way.
