The prayer of those who are upright is a pleasure to Jehovah (Prov. 15:8).

Good friends like to exchange ideas and express their feelings. The same goes for our friendship with Jehovah. He speaks to us through his Word, and in it he makes his thoughts and feelings known to us. And we communicate with him through prayer. As we pray, we can share our deepest thoughts and feelings with Him. He is a friend who loves us, and for this reason, in addition to listening to our prayers, he answers them. Sometimes we get the answer quickly. But other times we have to keep praying. Be that as it may, we can be sure that he will respond to us at the right time and in the best way. Of course, your answer may not be what we expect. For example, instead of delivering us from a trial, it may give us the wisdom and strength to endure it (1 Cor. 10:13).How can we show gratitude for the precious gift of prayer? For example, following this advice from God: “Pray constantly” (1 Thess. 5:17). w20.05 27, 28 paras. 7, 8

What Bible story illustrates Jehovah's important role in our ministry?

What is being achieved with such support? When we sow the Kingdom message, some seeds fall into receptive hearts and sprout (Matt. 13:18, 23). Who makes these seeds sprout and bear fruit? Jesus explained that no one can become his disciple unless “the Father . . . draws him” (John 6:44). In the Bible we find a story that illustrates this. On one occasion, Paul preached to some women outside the city of Philippi. Notice what the Bible says about one of them, named Lydia: “The Lord opened her heart wide to listen to what Paul was saying” (Acts 16:13-15). Just as he did with Lydia, Jehovah has brought millions of people to his people.

Who should take the credit when we do well in ministry? Paul answered this question when he wrote the following words about the Corinthian congregation: “I planted, Apollos watered, but God kept making it grow, so neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but God who makes it grow” ( 1 Corinthians 3:6, 7). Whenever we are successful in the ministry, we should give Jehovah all the credit, just as Paul did.

How can we show that we appreciate the honor of partnering with God, Christ, and angels? Looking for opportunities to share the good news with as many people as possible. And we can do this in different ways, for example, preaching "publicly and from house to house" (Acts 20:20). Many brothers love to preach informally. When they meet someone they don't know, they greet him or her politely and try to start a conversation. If the person is willing to speak, they tactfully present the Kingdom message.
