LIVING AS CHRISTIANS 2022, May 2-8, video, Steadfast in the face of opposition, Analysis and Responses.

Firm before the opposition (15 mins.): Analysis with the audience. Put the video. Then ask:

What do we learn from the example of our brothers in Nazi Germany?

Jehovah's Witnesses refused to say "Heil Hitler" because it meant "salvation comes from Hitler." A witness who worked in a steel foundry faced this test. He was the only one of the 2,000 employees who did not raise his arm and return the German salute. Every day he had to endure the same ordeal, as they demanded the German greeting and he simply said "Good morning." We learn from our brothers in Nazi Germany that despite the trials we are going through, we have to be loyal to Jehovah and have great faith.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

For example, we learn that our loyalty must be in every aspect, because the subject of the greeting at first glance could seem simple, but for these faithful servants it was not a question of loyalty because of everything that this greeting encompassed, so this teaches us that our loyalty to be in every aspect, even in what seems to us something insignificant.

We also learn that we must also prepare the children from now on, because they will also end up facing the opposition in one way or another, because in the case of the children who were at that time they tried to force them to salute, and What is more, they separated the children from their parents for being witnesses.

In addition, the brothers had to face insults, also beatings and then faced arrest, and as is well mentioned in the video, the brothers were treated particularly harshly because they wanted to end the religious group.

And also in order to achieve their mission, the brothers who were in prison were offered to buy their freedom with the price of renouncing their faith, signing a document, but most were firm never to sign, without a doubt a great example for all of us and it is that no matter how difficult the circumstances are, we must never give in to renounce our faith.

And something we also learn is that what will give us strength in situations of persecution is unity among brothers, because in this way we will encourage and support each other, because we all have the same goal in common, to defend the name of Jehovah.

What do we learn from the example of our brothers in Russia and the former Soviet Union?

We learn that if we trust in Jehovah and ask him to direct us and help us, he will always do so and will be with us, he will not leave us alone. And we also learn that the most important thing is to defend the name of Jehovah.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

From the example of our brothers we learn that satan and his henchmen will always try by all means to make us renounce our faith, since in the case of these brothers they began to be deported, but they were offered a way to avoid deportation and it was that They had to sign a paper where they denied the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses.

And once they were deported they were forced to do forced labor that exceeded their strength, but they remembered the example of the Israelites and asked Jehovah to strengthen their faith, which teaches us that if we want to endure any situation that exceeds our strength we must always turn to Jehovah.

Also in the video it is mentioned that they spread false propaganda about God's organization, and what is more the KGB infiltrated spies in the congregation, they also believed that with extreme violence they would make the servants of God change their minds, but as mentioned in the video the idea that is firm, keeps people firm.

And something very interesting that a brother mentions in the video is that if we trust in Jehovah and ask him to help us, he will always help us, so with his help we can withstand any trial or opposition that comes our way.
