Helper: María, you saw how cute our classmates Juan and José look together, they make a beautiful couple, don't you think?

Publisher: Susana, I have nothing against homosexuals, but I did not accept their behavior. I am a Jehovah's Witness and I have decided to walk according to the moral standards of the Bible.

Assistant: And aren't you ashamed to think like that? That's something extremist.

Publisher: Of course not, let me show you a biblical text, Psalm 119 46 says the following…. Well as you could see, it says there that we should not be ashamed to speak the reminders that we find in the Bible and we should not be ashamed of it either.

Assistant: The truth is that you are right, but I still think that you are exaggerating a little by thinking like that.

Publisher: Yes Maria, this is the lifestyle I have chosen and no one can question this decision. So as the text says, I am not ashamed of my position or talking about it.

Helper: Okay, I understand that about your position, but shouldn't Christians respect all people regardless of their sexual preference?

Publisher: This is how we do it. Look at what 1 Peter 2:17 mentions. He says like this...... How did you notice, the Bible declares that we honor men of all kinds. So Christians are not homophobic, but we respect everyone, including homosexuals. 

Helper: Don't you think your opinion promotes prejudice against homosexuals?

Publisher:  «Not at all. "I am not against homosexuals, but against homosexual behavior." I'll give you an example: I don't smoke, in fact, I hate cigarettes. Now let's suppose that you think differently because you are a smoker. I wouldn't judge you because you smoke, and I know you won't judge me because I don't smoke, right?

Assistant: Of course not.

Publisher: Well, the same thing happens with the way we both see homosexuality. So Maria, although Jehovah's Witnesses are governed by the moral code of the Bible, we do not impose our point of view on others.

Assistant: I understand what you are saying, if you are very right, it is important to respect each other. Well, the teacher has arrived, and then we continue talking about this topic.
