APPLY YOURSELF TO THE FIELD MINISTRY: 9-15-December 2024, Make Return Visits, HOUSE TO HOUSE. Lesson 9 point 3. Prepared Assignment.

Make return visits (4 mins.) FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE. Last time the person told you that a loved one had recently died (lmd lesson 9 point 3).

PUBLISHER: “Good morning, thanks for seeing me again. Last time you told me something that I haven’t stopped thinking about: you said you lost your mother recently. How have you been since then?”

HELPER: “It has been difficult, to be honest. I still feel a huge void.”

PUBLISHER: “I understand. Losing someone as important as a mother is a very deep pain. Many people have told me that they feel something similar, as if a part of their life is missing.”

HELPER: “Yes, exactly. Some days are harder than others.”

PUBLISHER: “It’s normal to feel that way. Something that has helped me a lot when I’ve been through things like this is remembering that God really does understand our pain. For example, in the Bible, in Psalm 34:18, it says:…. Knowing that God understands us and is near can give us comfort. Have you ever felt that way?”

HELPER: “Well, I guess so. There are times when I feel some peace, but then I feel bad again.”

PUBLISHER: “That shows how much he loved his mother, and God sees that. In fact, He promises us something very special for the future: a resurrection. Look what it says here in Acts 24:15: This means we can see our loved ones again. Would you like that to be possible?”

HELPER: “Sure, that would be wonderful.”

PUBLISHER: “I’m glad you think so. If you’re willing, I can show you how the Bible explains this hope in more detail another time. In the meantime, here’s this booklet that talks about how God comforts us when we lose someone. I hope you find it helpful.”

HELPER: “Thanks, I’ll read it.”
